Stylish + Sporty [Adidas]

Hey there friends! I hope your week has been absolutely amazing. I've had a ton of fun planning and producing content to bring to you both here on the blog and on Instagram. My goal going into the fall semester is to have photos ready and blog posts written so that I don't have to stress about blogging while all things school must be a priority.

While I was dreaming up ideas to bring to the blog, this idea popped into my head. Although I love to dress up and tend to prefer the classy look, I've recently come to love a more athletic look as well. This small adjustment has definitely been brought on by finding two pairs of sneakers that I LOVE. Coincidently both of mine are by Adidas, but there are tons of different shoes and brands that I've found myself admiring recently. Sneakers are amazing, but total athleisure and workout apparel is not always appropriate for the environment I'm in. Because of this, I wanted to do a post all about dressing down a stylish outfit with tennis shoes/sneakers. You can find all of the details on these outfits below each set of pictures. Special shoutout to my sister for taking these amazing photos!

OUTFIT #1

Jeans and a cardigan can be accessorized with a pair of booties, heels, or mules for a more dressy outfit, but changing them out for a pair of athletic shoes makes the outfit more casual. As I was looking for a new replacement pair of tennis shoes this summer, these Adidas Swift Runs caught my eye. I was drawn to their pale blue, black, and white color/pattern, and I immediately knew they would work with tons of different outfits. They also offer great support for my whole foot which is a step up from my previous pair of tennis shoes. I feel confident that I'll be able to wear them a ton and my feet will be comfortable while doing so.

In this outfit, the cardigan also transitions from a classy layer to a cozy throw. I found myself reaching for this cardigan all the time this past year. Combined with my favorite pair of high waisted jeans and a black lace blouse, this outfit is cute but also casual. While I've gotten a taste of cooler weather these last few days, I can't wait to wear this outfit more once fall hits.

OUTFIT #2

Sneakers with a dress? It might sound weird, but I actually love this combination. Especially once school starts, going to class in a dress can feel unusual. This is a great way to look stylish while remaining comfortable. I like pairing a simple and neutral dress with a colored flannel. Tying the flannel around the waist adds shape and dimension to the outfit. Not to mention that tying it around the waist allows you to wear the outfit even in warmer temperatures! In my opinion, flannels are a definite wardrobe staple so be sure to stock up in different colors and fits.

Despite the fact that these navy blue Adidas sneakers are more for fashion than athletics, they give any outfit a sporty feel. This pair was perfect for me because my favorite color is navy blue and my wardrobe features a lot of the color. Additionally, they came with both navy and white laces so you can change them out based on the outfit or the season. I would highly recommend looking into getting a pair of sneakers for yourself, Adidas makes a ton of awesome ones, because you might also end up wearing them all the time.

I hope this post gave you some ideas for stylish and sporty clothing combinations. With the end of summer and beginning of fall upon us, definitely keep these outfits in mind. As always, thank you so much for reading. More posts are coming your way soon so don't go too far!
