Happy Thursday!! Thursdays are easily one of my favorite days of the week because it means Salt Company is tonight and tomorrow is Friday! The weekend is so close! Today I am bringing you an exciting fashion post filled with amazing photos taken by my sweet friend Avery Daniel who lived across the hall from me last year. She is so talented and has a very artistic eye. One day a couple of weeks ago we decided that we wanted some time to catch up and just be creative. We adventured through downtown Ames and found some amazing backdrops to shoot against. It was fun to be both in front of and behind the camera.
I wanted to capture a few new elements in my wardrobe for you. These include a new jacket I'm obsessed with, a tote bag I've started using almost every day, and a fun new cuff.
This summer while shopping at the mall in my hometown I went into H&M and found that they had a ton of clothes on sale. One of the items I picked up was a jacket I had seen earlier in the year. When I first saw it it was too expensive so I decided to just wait patiently. This time, it was on major sale and I couldn't pass it up.
Flats (different color): Target
This jacket is simple but has style elements that elevate it. The cropped bell sleeves are feminine, flirty, and very on trend. With its black color and open front, it can be thrown over tons of different outfits whether extremely professional or more casual. It also has small pockets that are very handy. I felt ready to conquer the world when wearing this jacket. It has definitely become one of my closet staples!
Scalloped Tote Bag (similar): Kate Spade New York
I bought this tote bag this summer from Nordstrom Rack and I have already used it so much! As I was thinking ahead to internships I hope to have and positions I hope to hold in the future, I realized that I might need an amazing bag to carry my laptop and all of my essentials. I shopped around and finally found this tote from one of my favorite brands: Kate Spade New York. Thankfully, being from Nordstrom Rack it was marked down considerably and I purchased it knowing the good use I would get out of it. The black is chic and simple, but the scallops add a fun and preppy touch. I know I will be using this bag for a long time.
Last but not least, this semester I am a Cuffed by Nano College Ambassador. This brand makes the cutest accessories and as part of the program I received one of my favorites, this cuff engraved with "BOSS BABE." This simple accessory is easy to throw on with any and every outfit and it goes perfectly with my favorite everyday accessories like my Kate Spade watch and monogram necklace. I won't lie, every time I see it on my wrist I can't help but channel my inner boss babe! I can't wait to invest in some more of their products and you should definitely check them out as well. Click HERE to be transferred to their website where you can use my discount MADISON10 for 10% off. I hope you enjoy their products as much as I do.
I hope you enjoyed this post because I loved putting it together. This outfit has so many fun pieces that I will continue to incorporate in my wardrobe. As always, if you have any feedback, comments, questions, etc. don't hesitate to reach out! Thanks for taking time out of your day to read and support!
